Sometimes I spend way too much time doing extraneous, or superfluous stuff, instead of the stuff (sidenote: For example, my thesis. ) I need to get done.

To compartamentalise the zibaldone into it’s own site (the same theme I use for my zettelkasten) is perhaps one of the better choices for me to take. ( Not only do I have more control over the zibaldones, they are in their own seperate space, free to live (relatively) untethered from my main website, shackled only by a single hyperlink (sidenote: the truth is this was always the case, but now I just have a prettier theming and presentation of my thoughts.

The zettelkasten of mine, apart from being an exercise in intent and purpose, has also served to open my eyes to a new form of self study. The act of defining things.

The act of putting together a zettelkasten has been perhaps the most profound occurence in these past weeks. The act of having to really think about whay you are defining and the words you use has been a good thorough exercise in intent and in purpose. What is the purpose of what I am defining. What steps do I need to take to get there.

Turns out, I could’ve completely avoided the DNS shenanegans. Actually, no need for subdomains… I think. The lesson here is that some answers are really just straight forward.

Turns out, setting up a zettelkasten is much harder work. I’m not even talking about writing one. I’m just talking about linking one website to the other website and dealing with DNS shenanegans. You’ll notice that the link to “zettelkasten” on my homepage still gives a 404 file not found error. This should be resolved soon.

I am thinking of starking a zettelkasten. The purpose of the zettelkasten would just to link mathematics definitions from various topics for my personal use. Of course, anyone else would be free to use it as well. I think, perhaps, I would link it a seperate webpage with a different theme. I need to look up more on how to set it up. A collegue of mine has it set up with a graph which would be nice.
